AIM:                To self – assess lesson plans.
MATERIAL:   Checklist and Lesson Plan

When you finish your lesson plan, use the Lesson Plan Checklist below to self evaluate your work.


ACTIVITIES:



  1. Do my class activities correspond to the competence(s) to be developed in the module?
  2. Do the activities match the language needs and ability of the group?
  3. Are the activities related to the same theme?
  4. Are the activities appealing for the age of the group?
  5. Are the activities motivating and challenging to students?
  6. Do the different activities in the lesson plan respond to coherent objectives?
  7. Have I included a warming up activity in order to recycle or activate previous knowledge?
  8. Is practice enough?
  9. Have I catered for appropriate variety of activity interaction and pace?
  10. Have I included the presentation and analysis of a model?
  11. Does controlled precede free practice?
  12.  Is assessment explicitly provided for?
  13.  Have I assigned rational independent work?
